We visited the House of the 14th generation of the Omotesenke line. We have a rare oppotunity to see inside the house and professional guide to explain the history to us. Later we visited the "Tea Ceremony Palace" of Urasenke line and enjoyed participating in the tea ceremony. We had a great time.

The welcome party was held at the "James House"of Doshisha Wemen College. At first while facing west south-west, we ate a sushi roll for good luck in the comming year. Then we performed a Picture Card Story "Urashima Tro" as a secondary event. Everyone participated in this performance. This year's style involved : - 10 Allumni members and 10 Stanford Students working in pairs. - Allumni members 1st read the page in Japanese, then the Stanford Students read the page in English. Thereby taking turns in each language. We were very excited.
